Basketball Game Preview: Pasquotank County Panthers vs. Camden County Bruins

The Pasquotank County Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Camden County Bruins at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pasquotank County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.8 points per game this season.

Last Monday, Pasquotank County was fully in charge, breezing past Manteo 82-53.

Pasquotank County can attribute much of their success to Branden Smith, who went 8 for 9 en route to 19 points and six rebounds, and Jamari Seymore, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 17 points along with five boards and four blocks. That's the most blocks Seymore has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jayon Harris, who posted ten points.

Pasquotank County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Camden County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Northeastern, falling 58-34. The game marked the Bruins' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Pasquotank County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points per game. As for Camden County, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Pasquotank County strolled past Camden County when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 71-56. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Camden County's Xzavior Wiggins, who scored 27 points and eight boards.
