The West-Oak Warriors had to endure a 13-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 59-55 victory over Crescent on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Lucas Towe continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 4-for-7 from long range and dropping a double-double on 27 points and 13 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Drew Crompton, who scored 14 points.
West-Oak's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-19. As for Crescent, their loss was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-15.
West-Oak will square off against the Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Seneca presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Warriors in South Carolina (the Bobcats are ranked 70th, while the Warriors are ranked 271st). As for Crescent, they will be playing at home against the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Daniel's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matchups.
