Julius Brown continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 38 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. James Calcagno was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Fort Ann's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alejandro Stowhas, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Stowhas continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Brown, who scored 13 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds.
Doane Stuart's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Fort Ann, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Doane Stuart will square off against Berlin/New Lebanon on Monday. As for Fort Ann, they will head out on the road to take on Lake George at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake George will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
