Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Weiss

Weiss won the last time they faced East View and things went their way on Friday too. Weiss came out on top against East View by a score of 12-9. The victory was familiar territory for the Wolves, who have now won three games in a row.

Jordynn Booe made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over 4.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Booe was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Ashlyn Woydziak was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Sofia Alvarez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Weiss now has a winning record of 11-10. As for East View, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Weiss is set to square off against their familiar foe Elgin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, East View will challenge rival Georgetown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
