The Lancaster Catholic Crusaders were the 59-50 winner over the Lancaster Mennonite Blazers when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Lancaster Catholic fell to Lancaster Mennonite 57-53.
Lancaster Mennonite found their leader in underclassman Cody Fisher, who scored 23 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Fisher has scored at least 25% of Lancaster Mennonite's points. Chase Hurst was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Lancaster Catholic's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1. As for Lancaster Mennonite, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lancaster Catholic will square off against Donegal at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lancaster Mennonite, they will head out on the road to face off against Annville-Cleona at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
