The Somonauk/Leland Bobcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their sixth straight loss. Their rough 71-50 defeat to Parkview Christian Academy might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Somonauk/Leland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 661st, while Parkview Christian Academy is ranked 111th).
It was another big night for Gracie Lambes, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and 14 assists for Parkview Christian Academy. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Lambes has scored at least 25% of Parkview Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Howard, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds.
Somonauk/Leland bumped their record down to 1-12 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Parkview Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
Somonauk/Leland's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Marquette at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st. Parkview Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Non Varsity Opponent at 4:15 p.m. on December 22nd.
