Lakes took a 30-point defeat the last time they faced off against Grant Community, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs on Friday, sneaking past 20-18. The win made it two in a row for Lakes and bumps their season record up to 2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 24 points in those games. As for Grant Community, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.
