The North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina] Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. The contest between North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina] and St. John wasn't particularly close, with North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina] falling 61-42.
It was another big night for Alani Morin, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds for St. John. Morin is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kaycee Desjarlais, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds.
North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina] bumped their record down to 4-7 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for St. John, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina] will take on Midway/Minto at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. John, they will be playing at home against Park River/Fordville-Lankin at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
