Norwich Free Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emily Orcutt, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Jordyn Bay-kent was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with three steals.
Lyman Memorial's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jenny Lopez, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, and Phoebe Carpenter who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. Lopez is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Piaseczny, who scored four points.
Lyman Memorial struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Norwich Free Academy racked up 23 assists.
