If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for A-H-S-T. They will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Riverside. Riverside will need to watch out since A-H-S-T have now posted big point totals in their last four contests.
A-H-S-T took the matchup and then some with a 65-8 victory last Friday over Martensdale-St. Mary's. Followers of A-H-S-T probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.
Meanwhile, Riverside have had to suffer through a 3-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 21-9 win over Shenandoah.
Their wins bumped Riverside to 1-3 and A-H-S-T to 4-0. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Riverside and A-H-S-T clash.
