Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Phoenix). They claimed a resounding 59-17 win over the St. Mary's Crusaders. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Pirates considering their 25-point performance the contest before.

Phoenix's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for St. Mary's, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Phoenix and Ashland will compete for holiday cheer at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. Mary's, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bonanza at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
