The West Branch Warriors will face off against the Alliance Aviators at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Branch is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.

On Monday, West Branch made easy work of Columbiana and carried off a 13-3 victory. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly ten runs.

Klary McKay made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Sara Schmidt was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one triple. Ellie Tucker was another key player, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4.

West Branch kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in four consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Alliance was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of McKinley.

Alliance saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily White, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another was Tashia Henderson, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Alliance's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for West Branch, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

West Branch took their victory against Alliance when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-0 score. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Aviators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
