North Sanpete is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Canyon View is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Hawks will welcome the Falcons at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
North Sanpete's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past South Summit 10-0. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Hawks considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Preston Madsen and Hudson Smith made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Madsen tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Smith pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because North Sanpete is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-8 otherwise. At the plate, Madsen went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs, while Smith went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI Smith has posted since back in March.
