While Avery Frese delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Mendon Unity. Camp Point Central had no answer to Frese as he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). Frese has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Frese and Mendon Unity will head out to take on Palmyra at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Panthers thanks in part to Frese: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-5.
