The Centerpoint Knights entered their tilt with the Poyen Indians with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Centerpoint walked away with a 35-23 win over Poyen on Thursday. For Centerpoint, this counts as revenge for the 51-29 defeat Poyen walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2015.
Alyssa Hewitt continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Cook, who scored ten points.
Centerpoint's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. As for Poyen, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centerpoint will be home for the holidays to greet Harmony Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harmony Grove is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. Poyen will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bismarck at 4:00 p.m. on December 28th.
