Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came out on top against Line Mountain by a score of 16-12 on Friday. With that win, the WolfPack brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Cameron Guss was a standout: he went 2-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Ramos, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, while Susquenita put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Line Mountain. The Blackhawks put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 8-0 victory. The Blackhawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by eight runs or more this season.
Billy Syster was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Syster was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Susquenita is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy, they moved to 4-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Susquenita struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy might still be hurting after the 16-1 loss they got from Susquenita in their previous matchup two weeks ago.
