Despite their loss, Gadsden City saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Aniyah Williams, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Madison Tinker was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Fort Payne and bumps their season record up to 17-8. As for Gadsden City, they bumped their record down to 8-15 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
