After two games on the road, Cloverleaf is heading back home. They will take on the Norwayne Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Thursday, Cloverleaf was beaten by Springfield 47-17. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cloverleaf has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Cloverleaf saw an underclassman step up: Kayla Shook scored two points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Cloverleaf struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Norwayne came up short against Revere on Saturday and fell 61-49. Norwayne has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cloverleaf's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Norwayne, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season.
Cloverleaf might still be hurting after the 57-34 loss they got from Norwayne in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Will Cloverleaf have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
