After two games on the road, South Pontotoc is heading back home. They will take on the Leake Central Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
After soaring to a 23-point win in their last game, South Pontotoc came back down to earth on Friday. They fell just short of New Albany by a score of 43-40.
Leake Central was handed a 30-point defeat in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against Northeast Lauderdale on Friday. Leake Central came out on top in a nail-biter against Northeast Lauderdale and snuck past 51-48. The victory was just what Leake Central needed coming off of a 81-51 defeat in their prior game.
Leake Central found their leader in underclassman Ty'lan Fortune, who scored 21 points.
South Pontotoc's defeat dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Leake Central, their win bumped their record up to 11-15.
