Basketball Recap: Stockdale Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

The third road contest was the charm for Stockdale, as they earned their first road win of the season. They walked away with a 52-45 victory over the Monache Marauders on Tuesday. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Marauders, too.

Despite the loss, Monache still got an impressive performance from Gabriel Carbajal, who posted 15 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Carbajal a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Ty Baxter, who had 12 points.

Stockdale's win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3. As for Monache, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Stockdale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-45 loss against Lemoore on the 4th. As for Monache, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 81-74 defeat against Tulare Union on the 5th.
