Grandview Prep scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Palm Beach Gardens Gators by a score of 69-67. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (62), the Pride still had to take the loss.

Christian Laurore was his usual excellent self, shooting 80% from beyond the arc on his way to 32 points along with five rebounds and three steals for Palm Beach Gardens. With that strong performance, Laurore is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. Another player making a difference was Hershell Reynolds, who went 6-for-13 en route to 16 points in addition to five boards and three blocks.

Grandview Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Palm Beach Gardens, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Grandview Prep will be playing in front of their home fans against Greenacres Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Palm Beach Gardens, they will venture away from home to challenge Dr. Joaquin Garcia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
