Make it eight blowout wins for the Fairfax HomeSchool Hawks this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Fredericksburg V 73-45 on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Fairfax HomeSchool who now have six in a row.
Despite the loss, Fredericksburg V had strong showings from Zebedee Bowers, who scored 14 points, and Chris Jones, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bowers has scored all season.
Fairfax HomeSchool's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Fredericksburg V, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fairfax HomeSchool's road trip will continue as they head out to face Chelsea Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Chelsea Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 301st, while Fairfax HomeSchool is ranked 100th). As for Fredericksburg V, they will head out on the road to challenge Grace Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
