The Fishburne Military Caissons pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were dealt a 123-56 loss at the hands of Hargrave Military Academy. Fishburne Military was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 69-30.
Fishburne Military's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Giovanni Belisle, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Allyn Koger, who scored five points along with two steals.
Fishburne Military's defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Hargrave Military Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fishburne Military will take on the Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Carlisle is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 68.9 points per game this season. As for Hargrave Military Academy, they and the Eagles will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The Covenant will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 295th, while the Tigers are ranked 46th).
