White Castle is 0-4 against Port Allen since April of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Pelicans at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
White Castle is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Broadmoor on Monday as they made off with a 32-1 victory. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Bulldogs with their most commanding win of the season.

Jordyn Martin and Kelsie Bracken did most of the damage at the plate: Martin went a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Bracken got on base in four of her five plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Those five runs gave Bracken a new career-high. Amari Zachary was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.
They weren't the only one making solid contact: White Castle kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Port Allen had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by a 17-3 margin over East Iberville on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Pelicans considering their one-run performance the game before.
Olivia Rodney made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs but no hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Taylor Saizon was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Marsha Shirley, who scored two runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3.
White Castle pushed their record up to 6-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 25.8 runs over those games. As for Port Allen, their record is now 8-13.
White Castle suffered a grim 21-6 defeat to Port Allen in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
