On the hitting side, Griffin Kelly was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Drew Carrison was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.
Palatine's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Buffalo Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-15-2.
