Cedar is 0-10 against Dixie since January of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Reds will head out on the road to face off against the Flyers at 7:00 p.m. Cedar has given up an average of 62.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
On Wednesday, Cedar was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 66-61 to Pine View. While losing is never fun, the Reds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Panthers are ranked 20th).

That was a full 53.5% of Dixie's points, marking the third time in a row Simmons has earned more than a third of the team's points. Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Cedar has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 24.7 boards per game. However, it's not like Dixie struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 27.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Cedar ended up a good deal behind Dixie when the teams last played back in January, losing 65-51. Can the Reds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
