Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Newport Harbor). They blew past the Fountain Valley Barons, posting a 52-6 victory. The Sailors haven't had any issues with the Barons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Scarlett Guyser had another great game (as she tends to do), rushing for 99 yards and two scores on only seven carries, while also throwing for 181 yards and four TDs while completing 85.7% of her passes. What's more, she racked up 149 passer rating, the most she's had since back in September. Skylie Cid made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Newport Harbor didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Cid and Delaney Alvarado. Cid got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Newport Harbor's victory bumped their record up to 21-2. As for Fountain Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newport Harbor will take on Marina at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Fountain Valley, they will challenge Fairmont Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
