Tranquillity is on a five-game streak of home losses, Avenal a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Tranquillity Tigers will take on the Avenal Buccaneers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither Tranquillity nor Avenal posted many points in their last games could muster much offensive firepower in their last games.
Tranquillity fell victim to Coalinga's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Horned Toads on the road and fell 59-0. While losing is never fun, Tranquillity can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 954th, while Coalinga is ranked 327th).
Avenal played against Mendota and lost via forfeit.
The losses dropped Tranquillity to 2-7 and Avenal to 4-5.
Tranquillity was dealt a bruising 38-0 loss at the hands of Avenal in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Will Tranquillity have more luck at home instead of on the road?
