On Tuesday, Hermon-DeKalb Central was the victim of a rough 60-35 defeat at the hands of St. Lawrence Central. Hermon-DeKalb Central has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Ayden Beach, who scored 21 points along with seven steals and six rebounds for St. Lawrence Central. That makes it four consecutive games in which Beach has scored at least a third of St. Lawrence Central's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Harlee Hartson, who scored 12 points.
Hermon-DeKalb Central bumped their record down to 1-3 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for St. Lawrence Central, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.
Hermon-DeKalb Central will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Edwards-Knox at 7:15 p.m. on February 2nd. St. Lawrence Central won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against St. Regis Falls at 7:15 p.m. on January 17th. St. Regis Falls is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
