Simpson Academy (Mendenhall, Miss.) snapped the 11-game winning streak of
Centreville Academy (Centreville, Miss.), with a 20-7 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Daniel Taylor touchdown run in the first quarter, the Cougars led 14-0 at the half.
With the win Simpson Academy extended its winning streak to nine games. Simpson Academy defeated Indianola Academy 34-6 last week.
Centreville Academy's lone touchdown came on a 4-yard run in the fourth quarter.
SA went into the matchup giving up only 7.8 points per game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Centreville Academy, who notched a 55-12 victory over Glenbrook in its previous outing.
