Emory Whisner made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, D'Neya Dennis was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tori Baughman, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Licking Valley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive contests.
