The Liberty Leopards had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They breezed by Memorial on the road to the tune of 67-21. The result was nothing new for Liberty, who have now won four matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.
Leading Liberty to victory were Tawann Tutwiler and Dwayne Moody. Tutwiler threw for 156 yards and three touchdowns on only eight passes, while Moody gained 160 total yards and two touchdowns. Moody's longest reception was for an incredible 72 yards. Dawaun Moody was in the mix as well, providing Liberty with three touchdowns.
Liberty's victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 5-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Memorial, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Liberty is on the road again on Friday and play against Norwayne at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Norwayne presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Liberty in Ohio (Norwayne is ranked 102nd, while Liberty is ranked 442nd). Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
