The Apollo Hawks entered their tilt with the Youngker Roughriders with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Apollo strolled past Youngker with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 64-47. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Apollo also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
It was another big night for Jordan Moreno, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Elijah White, who scored nine points along with eight steals and six assists.
Despite the loss, Youngker still got an impressive performance from Dre Edwards, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Edwards has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Hargrove, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Apollo's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Youngker, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Apollo and Kellis will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Youngker will be home for the holidays to greet Kofa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
