Spring Creek's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Carson Fisher, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds. Tayden Francis was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Reno got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Harvey Smerdon out in front who scored 26 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Kipper Warmbrodt, who scored 8 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals.
Spring Creek's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Reno, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Spring Creek will square off against Kuna at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Kuna is ranked 14th in Idaho, while Spring Creek is ranked 29th in Nevada). As for Reno, they will head out on the road to face off against Elko at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
