The Masuk Panthers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They strolled past Amistad with points to spare, taking the game 58-41. That's another feather in the cap for Masuk, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Wolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Fatema Thomas, who scored 16 points along with four steals. LaShaya Patterson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 12 blocks and seven rebounds.
Masuk pushed their record up to 3-0 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Amistad, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Masuk will be home for the holidays to greet Joel Barlow at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Amistad, they will head out on the road to face off against East Lyme at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
