Leading Payson to victory were Lizzy White and Hannah Sarnowski. White dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds, while Sarnowski scored nine points along with seven rebounds and five steals. White continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Grace Deschaaf was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds.
Malaysia Roebuck and Adrian Griffin certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Roebuck scored five points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Griffin scored nine points along with seven rebounds. Griffin scored a full 26.5% of Marana's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Payson's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Marana, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
