The Cartersville Hurricanes had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past Jenkins, posting a 35-0 win at home. Cartersville's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Leading Cartersville to victory were Khristian Lando and Andrew Purdy. Lando rushed for 44 yards and two touchdowns, while Purdy rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Cartersville's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24.29 points. As for Jenkins, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
Cartersville will square off against Coffee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Coffee is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Jenkins does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
