Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Colonel Crawford). Their defense stepped up to hand the Bucyrus Redmen a 48-0 shutout on Friday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Redmen recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Colonel Crawford's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Bucyrus, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Colonel Crawford will take on rival Seneca East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Eagles 11.3, the Tigers 11.8) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Bucyrus is set to challenge their familiar foe Upper Sandusky at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
