The Glendale Prep Academy Griffins are taking a road trip to challenge the Scottsdale Christian Academy Eagles at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Glendale Prep Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.4 runs per game this season.
Glendale Prep Academy barely beat Gilbert Classical Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Griffins put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 11-1 win on Wednesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Griffins, who have now won three matches in a row.

Josiah Simms made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Nathaniel Jensen was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February of 2024. Corbin Kim was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Glendale Prep Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gilbert Classical Academy only posted a batting average of .190.
Meanwhile, Scottsdale Christian Academy earned a 4-1 win over Scottsdale Preparatory Academy on Thursday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Dylan Tims spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits. He has become a key player for Scottsdale Christian Academy: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-6 otherwise.
At the plate, Scottsdale Christian Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trevor Green, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.
Glendale Prep Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Scottsdale Christian Academy, their record is now 13-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster.
