Napoleon is 0-4 against Clinton since June of 2018 but things could change on Wednesday. The Pirates will square off against the Redskins at 4:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Wednesday.
Napoleon is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Leslie with a sharp 16-6 win on Tuesday.
Kaitlyn Fall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Molly Simpson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Haven Marker, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Napoleon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.4.
Meanwhile, Clinton waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory. Considering the Redskins have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Lola Szczesniak was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Clinton let Kylinn Long and Mya Popkey run wild. Long went 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs, while Popkey went 3-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one double. Lexi Tzortzinis was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
Napoleon now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Clinton, their record is now 12-3.
Napoleon might still be hurting after the 15-3 defeat they got from Clinton in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
