Basketball Recap: Mclaurin Extends Winning Streak to Five

McLaurin entered their tilt with Wesson on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Wesson Cobras 72-46. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 22 points or more this season.

McLaurin was led to victory by Michael Wallace and Isaac Davidson. Wallace went 12 for 25 on his way to 29 points and seven assists, while Davidson dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 boards. What's more, Davidson also racked up four blocks, the most he's had since back in November. Tylon Williams was another key player, going 7 of 16 on his way to 17 points.

McLaurin's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Wesson, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

McLaurin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 57-50 defeat against Holmes County Central on the 21st. Wesson and Jefferson County will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on December 30th.
