The York Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Marina Mariners at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. York will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
York scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They put the hurt on Trinity Christian with a sharp 8-0 victory. With that win, York brought their scoring average up to 2.8 goals per game.
Their offense was hitting Trinity Christian from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Marina had to settle for a 3-2 defeat against Anzar on Wednesday. Marina has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
York has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-3-1 record this season. As for Marina, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
York took their win against Marina in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 5-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for York since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
