Lizzy Mroz and Casey Garner certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Mroz went 5-for-11 to rack up 10 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Garner posted six points. The dominant performance also gave Garner a new career-high in assists (four).
It was another big night for Brooke Harding, who went 9-for-13 on her way to 20 points in addition to six boards and five assists for Rock Canyon. Harding's evening made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Maze, who earned 11 points.
Castle View has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. Rock Canyon's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8.
Castle View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rock Canyon, they will face off against Regis Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
