Meanwhile, Lugoff-Elgin fell victim to Catawba Ridge and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Copperheads, falling 18-0. The Demons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lugoff-Elgin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carley Bell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double. That double was Bell's first of the season.
