The Crofton Warriors had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past Elkhorn Valley 64-22 on the road. The victory was just business as usual for Crofton, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
Crofton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Wyatt Tramp led the charge by rushing for 213 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Jace Panning, who gained 149 total yards and three touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Crofton's defense and their three sacks. Leading the way was Braxton Foxhoven and his two sacks.
When it comes to explaining why Elkhorn Valley lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Mavrick Hagemann. Despite the final result, he rushed for 89 yards and three touchdowns.
Crofton's win bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Elkhorn Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
Crofton will be playing in front of their home fans against Exeter-Milligan/Friend at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Exeter-Milligan/Friend will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. Elkhorn Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
