Elijah Mccoy Has Career-Day on Friday
Starting off the list is Midland's Elijah McCoy, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday McCoy rushed for 360 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now rushed for 122 or more in the last eight games he's played.
Midland pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. McCoy and Midland will take on Midland Legacy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Aiden Serrano's Big Game Leads Midland Legacy over Permian
Midland Legacy found a leader in Aiden Serrano as the squad took down Permian on Friday. Serrano was dynamite, rushing for 94 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, while also picking up 67 receiving yards and a touchdown. His longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.
Permian had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Serrano it was a similar story. When Serrano last faced the Panthers back in October of 2023, he picked up 93 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Frenship Gets a Boost from Phillips in 56-7 Win
Holden Phillips was instrumental in extending Frenship's winning streak to seven on Friday. Phillips did his part (and then some), throwing for 304 yards and four touchdowns while completing 93.8% of his passes for the 'W'. Phillips is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least three every time he's taken the field this season.
Frenship pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Tigers challenges Permian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Gavin Black Turns in Another Game with at Least 164 Rushing Yards
Gavin Black's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his eighth-straight game with 164+ rushing yards. He rushed for 214 yards while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 56 yards.
A feisty cat fight will be fought when Panthers dukes it out withFrenship at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Black will face off against Mateo Roberson, the Tigers' star running back. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Chase Campbell Goes Supernova in Frenship Victory
Chase Campbell was instrumental in extending Frenship's winning streak to seven on Friday. Campbell was dynamite, picking up 189 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
If the past is any indication, Campbell could be in store for another big game when he takes on Permian on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Campbell saw the Panthers), he picked up 150 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
