After both having extra time off, the West Wendover Wolverines and the Sierra Lutheran Falcons will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
On Saturday, West Wendover came up short against Pershing County and fell 3-1. The loss continues a trend for the Wolverines in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost six in a row.
West Wendover started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-19, 25-16, 25-17.

Despite the defeat, West Wendover got top-tier performance from Anaya Hernandez, who had 33 digs. Hernandez is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 16 every time she's taken the court this season. Cristina Torres was another key player, getting 18 digs.
Meanwhile, Sierra Lutheran was able to grind out a solid victory over Silver Stage on Friday, taking the game 3-1. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Nighthawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Sierra Lutheran had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-10.
Sierra Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for West Wendover, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
