The Eastern Eagles will square off against the Bryan Station Defenders at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Eastern's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Bryan Station has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.
On Wednesday, Eastern got the win against DuPont Manual by a conclusive 9-2. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 games by six runs or more this season.

Kelsey Davis made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted over her last six contests. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alex Wagner, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Ryleigh Sweasy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Bryan Station's offense. They came up short against Harrison County on Thursday, falling 10-0.
Eastern's win bumped their record up to 27-11. As for Bryan Station, their loss dropped their record down to 11-15.
Bryan Station's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Eastern has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .445. It's a different story for Bryan Station, though, as they've only averaged .342. Will they be able to contain Eastern's hitters?
