Basketball Recap: Arvada West Skates Past Brighton with Ease

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Arvada West on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Brighton Bulldogs out of the water with a 66-17 final score. With that victory, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 51.6 points per game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arvada West to victory, but perhaps none more so than Macie Ferguson, who went 6 of 9 on her way to 15 points and three steals. The matchup was Ferguson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Harrison, who posted eight points.

Arvada West smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Arvada West's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Brighton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
