Volleyball Recap: Cosumnes Oaks Takes a Loss

Cosumnes Oaks lost against Pleasant Grove back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wolfpack lost 3-0 to the Eagles. The Wolfpack's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Cosumnes Oaks ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17, 25-18.

Anthony Nguyen paced Cosumnes Oaks' offense, picking up 16 kills. Nguyen got some help from Jaiden Atienza and his 16 assists. Kemarin Touch controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Cosumnes Oaks' loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Pleasant Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season.
